25 August 2023 | Expedien

Chandrayaan-3 on 23 Aug 2023 successfully performed a soft landing on the moon. India created history to become the first country to land on the South Pole of the lunar surface. Chandrayaan 3’s Soft Lunar Landing Chandrayaan Rover (made in India - Made for the moon ! ) ramped down from the lander and India took walk on the moon ! India's third lunar exploration mission sets India as one of the four nations which have established this feat.

Chandrayaan-3 marks its successful presence on the lunar landscape. The Lander Module (LM) of the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Chandrayaan-3 mission had been launched on July 14 which made an impressive landing on the lunar surface on August 23 (estimated time frame). This achievement leads India to a distinguished position as India now stands tall among the four countries which have touched down the lunar landscape (The former USSR, the United States and China.)
